I have very limited time and i want to learn Mandarin, approximately how many hours and a day and for long would it take me to learn basic mandarin?
I have been studying Mandarin in University for three years now and I am still considered a beginner. I spent some time in Beijing and it fastened the process of learning. I study 18 hours per week. It seems a lot, but it is not. Sorry, Mandarin is a long-lasting deal. Buona fortuna!

Not easy,my friend.
Just like a little kid,she would take a long time to speak Mandarin well.

Hi
I’m a native Chinese teacher from China and I’d like to give you some suggestions. First, the time it will take to learn the basic mandarin totally depends. The more you spend the faster you will learn. If you are really busy and have very limited time, it may be better for you to learn Chinese with a professional Chinese teacher who can guide you to learn from pinyin to characters professionally. That will be more effective. If you are interested, you can take a free trial Chinese lesson at
